It's Not Looking Good: And It's Not Good Looking!
by Miriam G. Aw
Granted, every one of us have the right to choose what to believe, whom to believe, and state our case as to why we believe in an unseen Spirit or God, or in a person that cites self-proclaim wisdom based on his, or her's views of life.
However, such beliefs are invading our own self thought provoking beliefs, or views, about a world that is overtly evident in becoming a cesspool of indignant exposure to scattered sexual promiscuity, creating self-hatred reality shows, infiltrating racial over and under tones of self-destruction within our family nucleus, to include a U.S. Congress who celebrate hypocrisy as if it was a holy day, thus insulting our intelligence by insisting that their behaviors are no more than justifiable concerns for the American public when in fact it is their asses whom they are worried about - not us!
Families throughout this once great country are learning more about how they've been screwed royally by a body of individuals who were elected to do a job on our behalf, but instead, are realizing that it is not our future, but their futures who hangs in the balance of becoming one step, or two, closer to becoming an average Joe, or Jane, in America.
How Does This Mess Affect Us?
In the state of South Carolina, for example, lawmakers are discussing on cutting out money from the State Budget for those who are disabled and/or special needs. Do you have any idea what kind of an affect that will create for families who have a loved one with disability, or for parents who have a child with special needs?
To add insult to injury, these funds are primary income to pay the rent or mortgage, utilities, food, insurances of every type, and so forth. Where's the selflessness in this picture? Who are the selfish individuals participating in the lawmaking process proclaiming doom for a non-perfect family? Where is the love of Christianity to help thy neighbor mentality?
And what about the myriad of families who continue to distance themselves from other family members simply because they observe a different belief system? Self-righteousness, as fas as I am concerned, is becoming more of a problematic situation between kinship bonding, moreso than any other negative factor that influences our decision to unite as one.
Therefore, if I believe in God, but I'm not a Christian, should I be forsaken by other relatives who call themselves Christian, yet believe in the same God? What? This type of hypocrisy is why so many families through this nation will undergo a great burden of wrath that will be spear headed by a Higher Authority than ourselves!
In view of the rising escalation of unemployment, loss of jobs, and underemployed wages being earned, you would think that most families will come together in harmony to foster the strengths needed to conquer the long road ahead in our country's history of mismanagement actions taken in the name of protecting ourselves from outside forces of terror. Instead, America has become the property of other countries abroad, and we are holding a huge mortgage that cannot be paid in time, thanks to our former U.S. President George Bush, and Vice President Cheney.
To preserve our family is our responsibility, and it should not be anchored with a foundation of hatred, selfishness, self-righteousness, nor should our existence be dictated upon as to what we should, or should not do as a family trying to survive in a world that is destined for doom, both politically and fiscally. Self-preservation is a key element toward achieving unity and common sense within our family nucleus. And yes, that includes our grown children, and their families. It includes our paternal and maternal grandparents. Our inlaws. It includes the newly additional family members via marriage, with or without children.
Personally speaking, any income coming into the household is a plus, and the idea of getting land should be on the lips of every American, who seek to grow vegetables, fruits, and other consumable products. Time is running out. Worrying about square footage of a house is not a priority, unless you're expecting to house several people in the same household. If you have a home, think about "Adding On" to accommodate those new comers.
